This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck LF TLILIC0003 Outcome: Nationally recognised statement of attainment and a HRWL Course cost: $450.00 pp in Hobart, $550.00 pp in Launceston/Devonport (GST exempt) Course Duration: 2 days (experience, competency and class size dependent), max 5 persons per class. Location: Onsite or offsite, statewide Pre-requisites: Must be 18 years of age and possess good language, literacy and numeracy skills What to bring: USI Number (https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi). Biscuits, tea, coffee and drinks are provided. There are many takeaway food options nearby or feel free to bring your own lunch PPE requirements: Safety boots, long pants and Hi Vis short/long sleeve shirt. Course Description: Introduction to the WHS Act 2012, A/S Risk assessment/Hierarchy of control Detailed theory component Forklift capacity and weight calculations Forklift pre-start inspections and fault identification Plan and prepare for work Intensive practical component Safely navigate site hazards Lift and relocate various size and weighted loads Forklift shut down and post-operational inspection Unit Descriptor plan for the work/task prepare for the work/task perform work/task pack up Application of the Unit: This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Forklift truck means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachments that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck. A person performing this work is required to hold a forklift truck High Risk Work Licence (HRWL). Statement of Attainment issued by All Onsite Training and Assessment RTO #91463
